Biotechnology (Engineering)

The interdisciplinary programme in Biotechnology provides the knowledge needed to work with such things as new antibiotics to treat infections, insulin for diabetics, enzymes for washing powder or biodegradable plastic materials.

You will learn how to work with cells and microorganisms and study subjects from the fields of biochemistry, biology, bioinformatics, genetics and engineering science.

In addition, you will work with computer programmes that can read and systemise large amounts of genetic data.
