Systems Biology is about using computer based methods and mathematical models to process data from biological systems.
You will learn to create mathematical models that for example can simulate processes in the human body.
Your knowledge can be used to develop new kinds of medicine, food ingredients or alternative fuels.
Teaching varies between lectures, classroom instruction, exercises and project work together with other students. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.
The final 6-12 months you will be making your MSc thesis. The thesis is a scientific research project, often carried out in collaboration with one of university's industrial partners.
