Sustainable Energy Engineering

This programme will provide you with knowledge about alternative and environment-friendly energy sources, such as wind, sun and biofuel. You will also learn how to reduce energy consumption, and optimise energy systems in several areas.

The objective is to combine different fields of energy technology.

On the course, you can specialise in one of three areas:

• Combustion Technology
• Offshore Energy Engineering
• Wind Turbine Systems

All fields of specialisation cover optimisation, monitoring and diagnostics.

Teaching varies between lectures and classroom instruction. In addition, there is often project work together with other students. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.

If you choose to complete the master degree programme, you will graduate with the academic title of Master of Science (MSc) in Sustainable Energy Engineering.

To be admitted to an MSc programme, you must have a bachelor degree in a relevant subject.

In addition, documentation may be required verifying your proficiency in English is at a specified level.

Tuition

There is a tuition fee for all full-degree students, unless you are a student from an EU/EEA country, or from Switzerland.

Students within an exchange programme are not required to pay tuition.

Semester Start

An academic year is made up of two semesters, which begin around September 1 and February 1.

University of Aalborg

At the University of Aalborg, Sustainable Energy Engineering can be studied as a 2-year MSc programme (120 ECTS).

You also have the possibility to take single courses or subjects within the programme.
