The Physics and Technology programme deals with how you develop and use new forms of technology within the fields of light, sound and material design.
The programme focuses on the areas of communication, information technology and intelligent sensors.
In the course of the programme, you must choose between three profiles:
-
Acoustics, where you learn about sound and noise. You will study both the physical reasons for why sound occurs, and work in the psychological research to determine how we humans perceive sound and noise
-
Optics, which deals with light and colour. You will learn, for example, how to create light from different light sources, for example lasers, and study how light exchanges energy with the matter it hits
-
Materials, where you learn about the development and usage of new materials. You will learn about the basic properties of matter and their significance in the properties of finished materials. With a basis in subjects like physics and chemistry, you will be able to produce and design new materials on your own
Teaching varies between lectures and classroom instruction. In addition, there is often project work together with other students. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.

If you choose to complete the master degree programme, you will graduate with the academic title of Master of Science (MSc).
