Mechatronics (Engineering)

On the master programme in mechatronics, you expand the knowledge you gained during your bachelor studies. You will receive advanced training in mechatronics and scientific methodology.

You can specialise in one of the following areas:

• Thermal Energy Systems, where you learn to calculate, model and optimise thermal systems and processes in the energy sector - with focus on the efficient use of energy.
• Nanotechnology, where you work with electronic systems and information technology in nano-graduations.
• Embedded control systems, where you will learn how to develop advanced control systems that can live up to the demands of the future.
• Dynamic Mechatronic Systems, where you work with such things as mathematical modelling in preparation for the product development of mechatronic and dynamic systems.

Teaching varies between lectures and classroom instruction. In addition, there is often project work together with other students. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.

If you choose to complete the master degree programme, you will graduate with the academic title of Master of Science (MSc).

To be admitted to an MSc programme, you must have a bachelor degree in a relevant subject.

In addition, documentation may be required verifying your proficiency in English is at a specified level.

Tuition

There is a tuition fee for all full-degree students, unless you are a student from an EU/EEA country, or from Switzerland.

Students within an exchange programme are not required to pay tuition.

Semester Start

An academic year is made up of two semesters, which begin around September 1st and February 1st.

University of Southern Denmark

At the University of Southern Denmark, Mechatronics can be studied as a 2-year MSc programme (120 ECTS).

You also have the possibility of taking single courses or subjects within the programme.

The programme can also be studied as a 3 year bachelor.
