The master programme provides an interdisciplinary and broad perspective of the study of food systems, foodstuffs and meals.
You will learn how to analyse complex issues concerning systems and participants in the field of food. This can be in such areas as; food systems for the elderly, kindergarten and school dinners or other public and private meal provision. It could also be a campaign for healthier diets targeting individuals.
At the same time, you will learn how to develop new, innovative solutions to future challenges in the field, for example in connection with undernourishment and overeating.
You will study the following subjects:
- Food Design
- Public Health Nutrition
- Food Networks and Innovation
You will be taught in subject modules that cut across the traditional divisions of the food sector. You will gain skills in participant analysis and change management and you will learn about intervention methods and strategic design. Your project work on the programme will be based on food related systems and foodstuff companies.
Teaching varies between lectures and classroom instruction. In addition, there is often project work together with other students. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.
