You will gain insight into the latest developments in the field of information, communication and media technologies in a global perspective and learn to understand the social, commercial, regulatory and ethical framework for their use.
You will also study standards and development tools and how to develop user-friendly concepts, applications and services with a commercial potential. You will learn to identify user needs, make requirement specifications and study how users interact with the technologies and perceive them as value-adding. You will also gain a deep understanding of the technologies behind the applications.

- Cognitive radio
- Telemedicine
You can specialise in Converging Media (offered in Copenhagen) or Telecommunications Infrastructure (offered in Aalborg).
Teaching varies between lectures, classroom instruction, exercises and project work together with other students. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.
The final 6 months will be spent writing your MSc thesis. The thesis is a scientific research project, often carried out in collaboration with one of university's industrial partners.

If you choose to complete the master's degree programme, you will graduate with the academic title of Master of Science in Engineering.
