Engineering Design and Applied Mechanics

You will learn to develop products, mechanical components and production equipment. You can study for example aerodynamics, wind turbines, ship design, wave mechanics etc.

You will study within these disciplines:

• Engineering Design and Product Development
• Strength and Dynamics of Structures
• Industrial Fluid Mechanics
• Energy Systems
• Maritime Engineering

In the final 6 months you will be writing your MSc thesis. The thesis is a scientific research project, often carried out in collaboration with one of the university's industrial partners.

If you choose to complete the master's degree programme, you will graduate with the academic title of Master of Science in Engineering (MSc).

To be admitted to an MSc programme, you must have a bachelor degree in a relevant subject.

In addition, documentation may be required verifying your proficiency in English is at a specified level.

The application deadline for MSc programmes varies according to the educational institution. Contact the individual institution for further information regarding its application deadline and forms. Apply directly at the university.

Tuition

There is a tuition fee for all full-degree students, unless you are a student from an EU/EEA country, or from Switzerland.

Students within an exchange programme are not required to pay tuition.

Semester Start

An academic year is made up of two semesters, which begin around September 1 and February 1.

You can study Engineering Design and Applied Mechanics in Lyngby (Copenhagen).

Technical University of Denmark

At the Technical University of Denmark Engineering Design and Applied Mechanics can be studied as a 2-year MSc degree programme (120 ECTS).

You also have the possibility to take single courses or subjects within the programme.
