Energy Engineering

You will learn about thermal, electric and mechanical energy and gain knowledge of the processes that form the basis of the production, distribution and consumption of energy.

On this English language master programme you can choose which subject area you would like to specialise in. There are several different subject areas to choose from.

When you have graduated from the study programme, you will be qualified to work as a development engineer, consultant or manager in energy supply companies, the energy industries and for consultancy firms.

About the programme

On this study programme you will learn about the various energy technology processes that form the basis of the production, distribution and consumption of energy.

You will study developments in the field of energy technology and the use of alternative energy sources, for example wind, sun and biofuel.

You can specialise in one of six subjects:

Thermal Energy and Process Engineering
Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Technology
Wind Power Systems
Electrical Power Systems and High Voltage Engineering
Power Electronics and Drives
Mechanical Control Engineering

Teaching varies between lectures and classroom instruction. In addition, there is often project work together with other students. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.

If you choose to complete the master's degree programme, you will graduate with the academic title of Master of Science (MSc).

Entry Requirements

To be admitted to an MSc programme, you must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant subject.

In addition, documentation may be required verifying your proficiency in English is at a specified level.
