MSc Programme

Earth and Space Physics and Engineering

On this English language master programme, you will learn how to develop and use technology to monitor physical conditions on Earth and in space.

You can specialise in four areas; environment and climate, charting and navigation and the exploration of either the Earth or space.

Once you have graduated, you will be qualified to pursue a career in a consulting company, in the high-tech industry, in geophysics or for the government.

About the programme

On the master programme, you will gain a greater understanding of how to use technology to monitor, chart and explore physical parameters and processes on a large scale both on Earth and in space.

On the programme, you can choose to specialise in one of four areas:

•	Monitoring Environment and Climate
•	Charting and Navigation
•	Earth Exploration, including natural resources.
•	Space Exploration, including planets, solar systems and the universe.

Teaching varies between lectures and classroom instruction. In addition, there is often project work together with other students. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.

If you choose to complete the master degree programme, you will graduate with the academic title of Master of Science (MSc) in Engineering (Earth and Space Physics and Engineering).

Entry Requirements

To be admitted to an MSc programme, you must have a bachelor degree in a relevant subject.

In addition, documentation may be required verifying your proficiency in English is at a specified level.

Tuition

There is a tuition fee for all full-degree students, unless you are a student from an EU/EEA country, or from Switzerland.

Students within an exchange programme are not required to pay tuition.

An academic year is made up of two semesters, which begin around September 1st and February 1st.

Technical University of Denmark

At the Technical University of Denmark, Earth and Space Physics and Engineering can be studied as a 2-year MSc programme (120 ECTS).
