You will gain insight into the construction and maintenance of buildings, services or towns, and you will study e.g. mechanics, energy technology or computer modelling and simulation.

The programme qualifies you to work with planning and construction of buildings or roads. You can specialise in e.g. building structures or soil and water mechanics.

About the Programme

The programme has to do with planning, constructing and maintaining buildings, services and towns.

You will learn to plan and carry out construction projects, for example houses or roads. You will study the economical, technical and social issues that might arise in different kinds of building projects.

Depending on your specialisation, you will study disciplines such as:

Mechanics
Material Science
Energy Technology
Heat and Mass Transfer
Hydraulics
Acoustics
Computer Modelling and Simulation
Ventilation and Air Distribution in Buildings

Teaching varies between lectures and classroom instruction. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.

In the final 6-12 months you will be writing your MSc thesis.

Graduation from the master degree programme confers the title Master of Science in Civil Engineering (MSc).

Entry Requirements

To be admitted to an MSc programme, you must have a bachelor degree in a relevant subject.

In addition, documentation may be required verifying your proficiency in English is at a specified level.

Tuition

There is a tuition fee for all full-degree students, unless you are a student from an EU/EEA country, or from Switzerland.

Students within an exchange programme are not required to pay tuition.
