On European Studies you study European politics, economics and culture and learn to understand how the historical development of Europe has influence the way it looks today.
You acquire knowledge of political processes in the EU and learn to understand European institutions.
The master programme focuses on issues relating to regional conditions and differences in Europe, and you examine and analyse European culture and identity as it is expressed in different parts of Europe.
The programme is interdisciplinary and you will be taught subjects from social sciences and the humanities, e.g. law, political science, cultural theory, history and intercultural communication.
Teaching varies between lectures and classroom instruction. In addition, there is often project work together with other students. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.
