EU-studies

The master programme in EU-studies deals with, amongst other things, the political economy of the EU and the dynamics of the single market and the economic and monetary union.

It contains a project seminar with project work and a compulsory course.

You will gain insight into the political and economic union from both a theoretical and practical point of view, just as you will study the distributional consequences of the economic integration for the individual member states.

Teaching varies between lectures, classroom instruction and project work in groups. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.

If you choose to complete the master's degree programme, you will graduate with the academic title of Master of Science (MSc).

To be admitted to an MSc programme, you must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant subject.

In addition, documentation may be required verifying your proficiency in English is at a specified level.

Tuition

There is a tuition fee for all full-degree students, unless you are a student from an EU/EEA country, or from Switzerland.

Students within an exchange programme are not required to pay tuition.

Semester Start

An academic year is made up of two semesters, which begin around September 1st and February 1st.

Roskilde University

At Roskilde University, EU-studies can be studied in two ways: either as a combination master programme for 1 year (60 ECTS) or as a single-subject master programme for 2 years.

The programme can also be studied for 6 months (30 ECTS) as part of a 3 year bachelor.

One of the Basic Studies at Roskilde University, normally the International Basic Studies in Social Sciences, constitutes the first two years of the bachelor degree programme.

You also have the possibility of taking single courses or subjects within the programme.
