The Asian Studies programme deals with understanding Asian culture, language and economy.
You will learn to analyse international economy with focus on Asia. On the language courses, you will learn to use Japanese or Chinese and gain a sound knowledge of the individual country's society.
The programme is divided into five main areas:
- International Business Economics, where you study international and Asian economies. Chinese/Japanese, where you learn to read, write, speak and understand Chinese or Japanese.
- Comparative Social Analysis, where you learn the methodology of comparative analysis that you will use to compare two companies' strategy or communication.
- Communications, which deals with both the internal and external communication of companies.
- Interdisciplinary Research Methods, where you learn social science methods.
Teaching varies between lectures and classroom instruction. In addition, there is often project work together with other students. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.
