The study programme is comprised of themes; politics, planning and regulation and knowledge and practice.
You study the environment and its problems while learning how they can be affected by planning and regulation.
The following courses are part of the politics, planning and regulation theme:
| • | Local, regional and international politics, planning and regulating environment and development. |
| • | Evaluating instruments and strategies in environment and development. |
The following courses are part of the knowledge and practice theme:
| • | Analysis and action in environment and development. |
| • | Implementation of environment and development initiatives. |
You will specialise in one of the subjects when writing your thesis.
Teaching varies between lectures, classroom instruction and project work in groups. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.

If you choose to complete the master degree programme, you will graduate with the academic title of Master of Science (MSc).
