The programme in Animal Science focuses on new production methods that can benefit production finance, animal welfare and the environment.
You will take a number of mandatory courses that will provide a sound understanding of discipline specific issues.
In addition, you can specialise by choosing elective courses that cover the areas of your special interests.
In Animal Science you can choose between the following areas:
- management of livestock
- ethology
- mammal genomics
- parasitology
- immunology
- biotechnology
- stable climate
- breeding
- food quality
- business economics
- nutrition
- feed
- consultancy and management
Teaching varies between lectures and classroom instruction. In addition, there is often project work together with other students. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.

If you choose to complete the master's degree programme, you will graduate with the academic title of Master of Science (MSc).
