In the course of your studies, you will learn to combine academic, theoretical knowledge with journalistic skills.
You learn how to analyse, interpret and generate knowledge about the global changes that increasingly challenge traditional boundaries.
The first year takes place in Denmark where you will study the following subjects:
- Reporting Global Change
- The Transformation of the State
- Globalisation, Culture and the Roles of the Media
- Social Science Methods for journalists
- Researching Journalism
- Analytical Journalism
The second year takes place at a university in Europe where you specialise in one of the following subjects:
- Media and Politics (University of Amsterdam, Holland)
- Business and Finance Journalism (City University London, England)
- Comparative and Transcultural Approaches (University of Hamburg, Germany)
- War and Conflict (University of Swansea, Wales)
Teaching varies between lectures and classroom instruction. In addition, there is often project work together with other students. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.

If you choose to complete the master's degree programme, you will graduate with the academic title of Master of Arts (MA).
