The basis for the study programme in Human Centred Informatics is human use of and interaction with information and communication technology. In particular, it focuses on the aspects of IT that are used in human and organisational communication.
On the programme, you will learn to analyse and evaluate what changes in IT will mean for people, companies and society. You will learn to prepare and initiate studies of human behaviour, human thinking and organisations in relation to the development of ICT systems.
You will learn about a number of analytical and practical tools derived from organisational theory, communications theory and the theory of learning and you will gain insight into the development of design, systems development and programming theories.
Teaching varies between lectures and classroom instruction. In addition, there is often project work together with other students. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.
On the projects, you will work with examples from organisations in the public and private sectors and through these come into contact with the organisations. You can also choose to take an internship as part of your studies.
The study programme is completed by a thesis which takes six months.
