In the study of cognitive semiotics, you will research the structures behind all forms of human communication.
The methodology is a combination of semiotic terms and models, and knowledge from the cognitive sciences, which is the part of psychology that deals with man's ability to think and acknowledge the world.
The programme consists of four components:
-
Cognition and semiotics (general)
-
Cognitive aesthetics
-
Cognitive linguistics
-
Psycho-semiotics
Teaching varies between seminars, where assignments are written within the different components. Students are encouraged to participate in discussions.
