The International Business and Politics programme deals with how the international political and economic environment affects a given business concern.
The programme gives you an international approach to business administration, as you become familiar with the political implications a corporation must take into account.
The programme focuses on the interaction between international economics, the civil society, governments and international political institutions such as the EU and United Nations. You learn to think problem-oriented with the intent to analyse this interaction between the various players and formulate action plans.
In the course of the programme, there will be special focus on the following subject areas:
- Knowledge of business, economic, political science, and international political economy
- Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods used in research in these disciplines
- Knowledge of major national and international institutions and actors in the area of business and politics
- An understanding of broad patterns of development in the global political economy from a historical perspective
Teaching varies between lectures and classroom instruction. In addition, there is often project work together with other students. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.
