The International Bachelor Study Programme in Natural Science allows you to gradually increase your degree of specialisation and to create a specific scientific profile.
During the first 18 months you will learn the basic methods for studying nature using experiments, analysis and modelling. You can take courses in biology, computer science, physics, geography, chemistry, mathematics, environmental science, statistics and scientific theory. Some of the courses are mandatory; others are elective.
In the second 18 month period, you will specialise in two bachelor subjects. One of these must be a natural science subject. You can choose from a number of subjects such as; biology, computer science, physics, chemistry, mathematics, etc.
You can choose your second subject from the remaining bachelor courses and you are welcome to choose a humanity or social science subject. See the full list of courses on the university web site.
Teaching varies between project work, courses and lectures. Project work makes up about half of the study. The basic study programme is broad and interdisciplinary oriented.
