Interaction Design is part of the progress made in engineering disciplines over the past few years. The emphasis of the programme is on the people who develop, manufacture and use products and who try to adapt the technology to their needs.
You will learn to contribute to the design and development of user oriented, interactive products for domestic use, for hospitals or for industry and to understand the relationship between people, technology, ethics and society.
Each semester has a special theme and, among other things, you will learn about:
- Mechanical interaction, with subjects such as mechanics, materials and ergonomics.
- Electronic interaction, with subjects such as electronics and sensor technology combined with teaching on human perception (sight, hearing and touch).
- Intelligent interaction, with subjects such as digital electronics and microcontroller systems combined with Human Computer Interaction, which is based on knowledge of the human psychology.
- Interactive products, with subjects such as the aesthetics of shape, semantics and manufacturing technology where you learn about the technology of manufacturing products in relation to the human perception of shape.
Teaching will take place in classes and will be structured around an open work room where you will work with design, alone or as part of a team. The programme contains a six month internship.

Interaction Design can be studied as a:
- 3½ year professional bachelor degree programme (210 ECTS)
You can also take single courses or subjects within the programme.
If you choose to complete the professional bachelor degree programme, you will graduate with the academic title of Bachelor of Engineering in Interaction Design.
