The bachelor degree programme in Economics and Information Technology focuses on the business administrative, IT and computer data issues encountered by corporations and organisations.
The programme is structured around these subject areas:
-
Economics, which includes market economics, business law, financing, organisation theories, accountancy, general business administration and socioeconomics.
-
Information Technology, where you learn the fundamentals of programming and system development.
-
Projects and Internship, where you focus on project work and receive an introduction to methodologies within the various vocational fields.
In the programme's last year, there is a ½-year company placement, where you solve a concrete practical problem, which the school sets up together with the company.
In addition, you will have to write a bachelor's thesis, in which you work across disciplines and demonstrate your understanding of how IT-based project management and business administrative issues interact and work together.
You have the possibility to specialise within an elective subject, such as system development and programming or design and development of products for the Internet and multimedia.
Teaching varies between theory based instruction and practical experience, and takes place as lectures and class work. In addition, there is group work together with other students. The school cooperates with companies in the region and local area for intern placements.
