During the first year, you will be introduced to scientific work methods and learn how to analyse research results critically and to present your conclusions. You will work within the fields of natural, political and social sciences.
In natural sciences you study: Chemistry and Biochemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, Nutritional Physiology and Dietetics, Pathology and Scientific Theory and Method.
In political and social sciences you study: Sociology and Anthropology, Psychology, Communication and Educational Theory and Practice.
You will learn how to analyse and evaluate key issues in nutrition, foods, consumer science, physical activity, lifestyle and living conditions relating to health promotion and disease prevention.
After the first year, you will choose one of these specialisations:
- Public Health Nutrition and Food Policy - focusing on food safety, consumer markets, environmental and public health.
- Lifestyle and Health Education - focusing on the importance of diet and lifestyle for health.
Teaching varies between lectures, class instruction, seminars, exercises, clinical studies, and as project work in groups. During your studies, you must also complete an internship in a company or organisation.

Global Bachelor in Nutrition and Health can be studied as a:
- 3½-year bachelor degree programme (210 ECTS)
You also have the possibility to take single courses or subjects within the programme.
If you choose to complete the bachelor degree programme, you will graduate with the academic title Bachelor in Global Nutrition and Health.
