Master of Business Administration, the MBA programme

The programme is organised as a combination of courses in relevant subject areas and projects, seminars and cross-disciplinary cases that will implement theories and methods from the subject areas in practice. The programme includes field studies abroad.

You can choose to study a general MBA programme together with fellow students from different fields. Furthermore, there are MBA programmes directed at managers in special industries.

Currently, the following MBA programmes are offered:

• Executive MBA Programme, CBS - Copenhagen Business School
• Full-time MBA, CBS - Copenhagen Business School
• Executive MBA Programme, University of Southern Denmark and Aarhus University
• Full-time MBA, Aarhus University
• MBA in Shipping and Logistics, CBS - Copenhagen Business School

Each course is completed with a written individual assignment. The programme is completed with a comprehensive project assignment. When you have completed the programme you have earned the title of MBA, e.g. with an addition that shows your area of specialisation.

The programmes are offered by CBS (Copenhagen Business School), Aarhus University, Business and Social Sciences and University of Southern Denmark.

The programme will typically last 2 years on a part-time basis or 1 year on a full-time basis.

In order to be admitted to the MBA programme, you need:

• A minimum of 3 years of higher education (corresponding to bachelor's degree level)
• 2 to 4 years of relevant professional experience after finishing a final exam
• Knowledge of mathematics, statistics as well as business economics and macro / socio-economics corresponding to the Danish HD part 1
• Recommendations from a current and / or former employer who can confirm that you have managerial potential and are motivated to start a career path

Furthermore, at CBS (Copenhagen Business School) you must have achieved a satisfactory result in the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)

Tuition fee

The programme costs between DKK 156,000-400,000. In addition to this you should expect expenses for travelling, workshops and books.

The programme is graded at level 7 in the Danish Qualification Framework for Lifelong Learning. The Qualification Framework contains levels 1-8 and defines the expected learning outcome of an education programme. Read more about Qualification Framework for Higher Education.
