The Production Technology programme takes 2 years. The programme couples theory with business-related issues.
The first year and a half, you receive instruction in subjects in the following technical areas:
- Product Innovation (Product Innovation, Life-cycle Analysis)
- Technical Documentation (Technical Drawing, Drawing Systems, Technical Marketing)
- Materials and Production Technology (Materials, Production Processes, Testing of Materials, Measuring Techniques and Equipment)
- Quality Control
- Automation (Control and Regulation, Automated Plants)
- Management Technique
- Business Subjects (Management and Co-operation, Organisation, Business Economics, Project Management, Quality Management, Environment, Sales and Service)
The programme also consists of more general subjects, such as Understanding the Technology and IT, International Relations and Linguistic Communication, and Analytical Problem Solving and Study Techniques.
The last half year consists of a specialisation and a final examination project. The most common specialisations are Construction in Iron and Metal, Construction in Wood, Construction in Plastics, Operations Technology, as well as Environment and Quality.
Teaching varies between lectures and classroom instruction. In addition, there is often project work with other students. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.

Production Technology is an Academy Profession (AP) Programme rated at 120 ECTS. The qualification is called an AP Degree - an Academy Profession Degree.
