Automation Engineering

The Automation Engineering programme takes two years and consists of a compulsory part and an elective part. The study programme includes mathematics, physics, measurement science and data collection, operating and control systems, structuring and quality assurance.

The programme takes two years and consists of mandatory courses, supplementary courses, three month work placement and a final project.

Mandatory courses are business related elements, Design and construction of automatic unit, integration of automatic units and System design of automatic process and production lines.

• Robot technology
• Databases
• Optimisation
• High-level programming
• Vision technology
• Wireless technologies

Teaching varies between lectures and classroom instruction. The study and work form is based on project groups. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.

Automation Engineering is an Academy Profession (AP) Programme rated at 120 ECTS. The qualification is called an AP Degree - an Academy Profession Degree.

General admission requirements for international students include one of the following international certificates:

The Danish/French Baccalauréat (DFB), the European Baccalaureate (EB), the International Baccalaureate (IB), the Option Internationale du Baccalauréat (OIB) or another foreign qualifying examination certificate that can be equated with a Danish upper secondary school leaving certificate.

In addition, there can be prerequisites for English and mathematics proficiencies at predefined levels.

Tuition

There is a tuition fee for all full-degree students, unless you are a student from an EU/EEA country, or from Switzerland.

Students within an exchange programme are not required to pay tuition.

Semester Start

An academic year is made up of two semesters, which begin around September 1 and February 1.
