The programme takes 2 years and is based on relevant business practices and theories. It is made up of a common compulsory part and a specialisation.
You will learn about the structure of service companies, their areas of interest and their financial management. You will study service markets, customer relations, innovation, strategic planning and communication.
The compulsory part of the curriculum is made up of five subject areas:
- Methodology
- Service organisation
- Organisation
- Planning
- Communications
You will gain knowledge of the service professions, their organisation, interest areas, economic structure and business conditions.
In the period between the first and second study year, there is a 13 week internship. The internship takes place in a company in Denmark or abroad within your chosen specialisation area, for example in a hotel, a tourism enterprise or a service enterprise.
To complete the programme, you must complete a final year project which relates to your chosen specialisation.
Teaching varies between lectures and classroom instruction. In addition, there is often project work with other students. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions.

Hospitality and Tourism Management is an Academy Profession (AP) Programme rated at 120 ECTS. The qualification is called an AP Degree - an Academy Profession Degree.
